50 Hertz Tingly Peanuts (Set of 2)

24 Reviews

Note that 50 Hertz has rebranded these as Tingly Peanuts, but while the packaging is slightly different than shown, the peanuts and container size are the same.

If you love Sichuan pepper, we're warning you now that this will be your new favorite snack, beckoning you during every cocktail hour or providing a bit of spice to anytime snacking.

Our friends at 50 Hertz have knocked it out of the park with their Tingly Peanuts, aka Sichuan Pepper Peanuts. These perfectly roasted, preternaturally crispy peanuts hit you with waves of flavor—first the taste and tingle of both green and red Sichuan pepper, then the umami of salt-sugar-msg, followed by just a bit of chili heat. They set your mouth pleasantly abuzz and leave you reaching for more.

Unlike most other Sichuan snacks, these peanuts feature the "ma," or citrusy numbing of Sichuan pepper (huajiao), more than the "la" of chili heat, allowing you to fully experience what makes huajiao so intensely interesting.

Washington, D.C.-based 50 Hertz has this product made in Hongya County, Sichuan, well known for its green Sichuan pepper and Sichuan specialty food production.

We are selling these in sets of two to make the shipping cost per can more reasonable for both you and us. Believe us, you'll want two!
